Terms of Buisness

Please be aware of my terms of business. This section aims to cover elements that may be missed in a contract or act as employment terms where no other contract is provided.

Booking Process

Please email me a formal offer of employment, this should include,

  • The full amount of time that I'm required to be in attendance of the job.

  • Details of the project, name of the show and location of the venue. 

  • The day rate for services provided. 

    • Where a project fee is is provided instead of a day rate, a day rate should still be agreed upfront for any additional days that may occur.

Rate of Pay

Day Rate

A day rate should be negotiated on a per show basis, depending on the scale of the project. This should fall in line with the BECTU rate cards.

Half Day

A half day will be chargeable at £200 or 50% of the day rate which ever is higher.

Working Hours

Day

A Day rate may be chargeable for  1-13 hours of work depending on the project.

Half Day

A half day will be chargeable for 1 - 4 hours of work.

If travel days land before and/or after the production dates this will also be charged at a half day in each direction.

Over 13h

For any day in which over 13 consecutive hours are worked (including breaks) an additional half day will be charged every 4 hours thereafter.  

Breaks

There should be 11 hours between the end of one shift and the start of the next, an additional half day may if added if this 11 hour break is infringed upon.

 

A one hour meal break should be provided in an eight hour day, and two, hour long breaks should be provided in a day up to 13 hours. Additional meal breaks should be discussed for any days over 13 hours. 

Cancelation

In the event that the producer cancels after the signing of the agreement or that the production is abandoned, 50% of the days that have been booked will be paid as well as any expenses incurred.
